Neonatal Galactose kit is based on fluorometric enzymatic determination of total galactose from blood specimens dried on filter paper. It is an ideal tool for detection of classic galactosemia due to D-galactose-1-phosphate-uridyl-transferase (GALT) defect. There is possibility to detect both free and total galactose. The kit has excellent reproducibility, stable reagents and a long shelf life. Neonatal Galactose kit will be launched by the end of 2009.
